Sunnyside Breakfast Available on Etsy

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

My first finished objects are finally posted to my Etsy store: The Sunnyside Breakfast. I was thinking of doing an American breakfast series, and these were the first objects I’ve completed. The listing is for the sunnyside-up egg and two slices of bacon. Deliciously cute and won’t clog your arteries! This project was challenging because [...]

Sheldon the Turtle Pattern Available on Etsy

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Sheldon is coming out of his shell just in time to make an appearance on my Etsy store. My son asked me to make a “turtle cuddle guy”, and Sheldon is the result.

This Little Piggy Pattern Available on Etsy

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

The next pattern has arrived. Whew! It’s this cuddly little piggy. I was inspired by swine flu (of all things) and thought that our porcine pals haven’t had the best PR lately, lol. Project Updates

Saturday, May 30th, 2009

I haven’t posted much since the beginning of the month; instead, I’ve been focusing on completing a number of smaller projects. Rather than produce another object for Mortal Plush, I’ve decided to work on a series of kawaii animals for my Etsy store. I have completed three and am in the middle of the fourth. [...]

Superflat Love, or the Mortal Plush Entry that Wasn’t

Sunday, May 3rd, 2009

I thought I’d share a pic of the object that I didn’t submit to Mortal Plush. I call this piece “Superflat Love”. I started thinking about the emotion of “depression” and began trying things in my sketchbook. I liked the idea of a heart bursting out from the body of a figure. As I worked [...]
